# Why Nora Has the Right Team to Build What Brazil Needs Next

Most people underestimate how hard it is to build a new financial rail for a country like Brazil.

The hard part is not having the idea.

The hard part is assembling the kind of team that has already lived inside the systems you need to upgrade.

That is what makes Nora different.

We are not building a wrapper around an existing trend. We are not launching just another stablecoin. We are not creating a closed product meant to capture value inside a silo.

We are building $BRS because we believe Brazil needs a better version of its own money onchain: a programmable BRL rail that can power payments, savings, liquidity, credit, FX, and the next generation of neobanks and fintech products.

To build something like that, you do not just need crypto talent.

You need people who understand banking at scale, trust infrastructure, people who can turn complexity into working systems, and people who can make a new category legible before the market fully realizes it needs it.

That is why I believe Nora has the right team for this mission.

## This is not a problem for tourists

Brazil is one of the most interesting financial markets in the world.

On one side, the country has already gone through a massive behavioral shift. Digital banking became mainstream. Instant payments became normal. Financial services became software for millions of people.

On the other, the underlying system is still deeply limited.

Local currency is still not truly programmable onchain. Access to yield is still uneven. Credit is still expensive. Distribution is still concentrated. Most of the financial system still runs on rails designed for the old world.

That is the contradiction.

Brazil is digitally advanced enough to adopt new rails, but still structurally inefficient enough to need them.

This is exactly why the opportunity is so large.

And it is also why the team matters so much.

Because this is not a market you understand from the outside.
This is a market you need to have operated inside.

## Nora was built by people from the right worlds

What makes Nora special is not just the quality of the individuals involved.

It is the composition.

This team was not assembled around hype. It came together around a specific thesis: if local stablecoins are going to matter, they need to be built by people who understand both the old system and the new one.

That is the difference.

## Bruno Moniz brings banking scale, not banking theory

![](https://blognora.zinom.ai/media/c7c923fd-5807-4764-867b-0c21e8b0eb0d.jpg)

If you want to build a BRL stablecoin ecosystem that can actually plug into the real world, you need someone who understands banking operations from the inside.

Not in theory. In scale.

Bruno spent four years at [@interbr](https://x.com/interbr), one of the most important digital banking operations in Brazil. Inter closed 2025 with more than **43 million total clients.**

That matters.

Because building $BRS is not just a token design problem. It is a treasury problem, a liquidity problem, an institutional integration problem, and an operational challenge.

To build infrastructure for neobanks, fintechs, and BRL-denominated onchain products, you need someone who has seen how financial products behave inside a machine that already operates at national scale.

Bruno gives Nora that layer of realism.

He understands how Brazilian users interact with digital banking. He understands the constraints of balance sheets, funding, product design, and institutional execution. He knows where the friction actually lives.

That is not a cosmetic advantage.

That is one of the foundations of the company.

## Jean Martina brings something rare: public-grade trust infrastructure

![](https://blognora.zinom.ai/media/e9bf3ae4-5531-46c6-a134-baea975b2f46.jpg)

If Bruno represents banking scale, Jean represents trust architecture.

And this part is even more important than most people realize.

Jean is not just a strong technical operator. He comes from the kind of background that forces you to think about systems the way institutions think about them: security, signatures, interoperability, integrity, and long-term reliability.

PhD in Computer Science from Cambridge and professor at [@UFSC](https://x.com/UFSC) (the Federal University of Santa Catarina), Jean was part of the effort that made the university a pioneer in digital diplomas in Brazil. He is also one of the creators of [gov.br](https://gov.br)’s national digital identity system for e-signatures, which serves citizens across the country.

This is the kind of background that matters when what you are building is not an app, but a trust layer.

Programmable money only works if people trust the system beneath it.

That trust does not come from branding. It comes from architecture.

Jean understands that.

![](https://blognora.zinom.ai/media/7ccec6a6-1b30-4622-b8db-47ca1810030b.jpg)

He has worked close to the kinds of systems where authenticity, verifiability, and interoperability are not optional features. They are the product itself.

That is exactly the mindset you want behind financial infrastructure.

## Luigi Remor is the bridge between thesis and product

![](https://blognora.zinom.ai/media/b73ef737-f377-4f8a-8bb4-5b8011994778.jpg)

A lot of people can describe the future.

Far fewer can build it.

That is where Luigi comes in.

If Bruno understands how scale works even within the legacy system, and Jean understands the architecture of trust required for the next one, Luigi is the builder who turns those realities into actual product rails.

That role is essential.

He has been programming for more than four years and was also a Founding Engineer at [@phase\_](https://x.com/phase_), where he operated close to the kind of technical complexity that sharpens real product execution. That matters because ambitious financial infrastructure is not built on ideas alone. It is built by people who can translate complexity into reliable systems, move fast without compromising architecture, and turn vision into working rails.

![](https://blognora.zinom.ai/media/06e5bb35-ef00-436e-a684-80342d8aa9cc.png)

In hard fintech and crypto infrastructure, conviction is cheap.

Execution is the moat.

Luigi gives Nora that execution layer.

He is not here to decorate a deck. He is here to make the rails real.

## My role is not “marketing.” It is market formation.

![](https://blognora.zinom.ai/media/7d91a2c3-9396-451e-82ec-cd35080285a8.jpg)

This part also matters.

A company like Nora is not only building infrastructure. It is helping create a category.

We need the market to understand why BRL onchain matters.
We need partners to see why a local stablecoin is not a side product, but a foundational layer.
We need neobanks, fintechs, and operators to recognize that the future financial stack in Brazil will not be built by one vertically integrated giant, but by composable rails.

That is where I come in.

My background has always been at the intersection of narrative, ecosystem building, growth, and category creation.

From co-founding Bankless Brasil to helping build [@Superteam](https://x.com/Superteam) in LATAM, to working across GTM, founder positioning, and market education in crypto, I have spent years focused on one core challenge: helping new systems become understandable, desirable, and strategically adopted.

![](https://blognora.zinom.ai/media/1619bbdf-155b-41f6-a953-fcf669e16352.jpg)

That is not downstream work.

In frontier markets, distribution is part of the infrastructure.

Especially when you are not selling a simple product, but introducing a new financial primitive.

My role is to help make that primitive legible before the market fully prices its importance.

## The advantage is not individual résumés. It is convergence.

On their own, these backgrounds are useful.

Together, they become singular.

Nora sits at the convergence of:

- banking and treasury realism,
- public-grade trust infrastructure,
- crypto-native product execution,
- category creation through distribution and narrative.

That is the kind of composition required to build something bigger than a token.

Because our goal is not just to issue $BRS.

Our goal is to help create the common BRL rail that other players can build on top of.

That means enabling a broader ecosystem of neobanks, fintechs, DeFi products, credit layers, yield products, and new financial experiences designed for Brazil.

You cannot build that with tourists.

You need people who understand banking scale, institutional trust, technical architecture, and market adoption at the same time.

That combination is Nora.

## Why this matters now

The timing matters as much as the team.

Brazil is already one of the most fertile environments in the world for a company like us.

The user behavior is here.
The digital financial culture is here.
The need for new rails is here.
The inefficiencies are obvious.
The market is ready for a more programmable version of BRL.

What has been missing is not demand. (we have 22 neobanks waiting for this)

What has been missing is the right combination of people to build it properly.

And when you are trying to build a new BRL rail for the onchain economy, that is not a detail.

That is the whole game.
